Before you start learning French, you should decide how you would like to learn. You may have to look at different ways of learning if you are learning French for business or for personal reasons. Maybe you need to use audio CD to learn how to understand French. Maybe you just want to be able to read French. In any case, you must find the French language training that will adapt to what you are looking for.
One of the most important step is to honestly look at how committed you are. This will determine the pace you can go on to achieve your goal. If you are learning French for business purposes for example, for a planned trip or for relocation, then you may have to be more committed to make sure you will be ready on time. In that case you must find a french language training system that lets you go faster than a class or a teacher would.
However, beware of the various courses that promise to teach a language in “7 days or less”. If that was working we would have people speaking all the languages in the world. These courses do not come with money back guarantee and simply are a waste of you time. You would not get as far as learning the French alphabet!
If you are committed, then using a French language training system will help you develop the skills required and will do so at your own pace. They will support your efforts and will help you to track you progress over time as well as making sure that you stay motivated by integrating different way of learning such as visual exercises and fun games.
So if you are committed to learn, the best way to learn French is getting access to a reputable French language training system. As a French native speaker, I always recommend to people to use a software that teaches all aspect of the language: listening, reading, writing and speaking.
The one I recommend to my friends is one of the best on the market, Rocket French, as it includes the best tools to learn french efficiently.
